Abstract

"The house of wisdom" ( Beit El Hikma) is a palace built during the rule of Al Husseini. It known as Dar Zarrouk is located in the outskirts of Carthage. This episode provides historical information about the builder of the palace and its political and cultural importance. It highlights the technical and architectural aspects of this house. Now, the palace shelters the Tunisian Academy of Letters, Sciences and Arts.
