Abstract

Documentary presenting the village of Cicagna (Genoa) in the valley of Fontanabuona. Presentation of the extraction and processing of slate mines in the region. Interview with an expert on mines and slate, interview with a woman who responds to letters from "the stork" to the post office, under an old regional tradition that dates back to 1922. Many photographs from the early twentieth century, illustrating the work in the mines.
